Exploring Nature’s Chaos and Beauty Through Abstraction

My work emerges from two extremes of landscape: the Gulf Coast, with verdant land and hurricanes, and New Mexico, spare, dry, and meditative. These paintings, prints, and installations illuminate urgent ecological questions and my personal journey.

Through my art, I aim to raise awareness of urgent ecological questions. The materials that I use are mercurial, mostly heat, wax, and pigment, and lead to unplanned ideas and fresh imagery, envisioning the landscape of a changing world.
