June 21-25  Encaustic Fusion (Monotype with Encaustic Painting) 

Combined encaustic printmaking and painting, beginning and intermediate

levels.  Held at the Encaustic Art Institute, just south of Santa Fe. Read More

10AM-5PM $850 + $110 supplies Minimum 4, Max 14. If  enrollment is under 8 this workshop will be held in Paula’s Santa Fe studio. If over 10, there will be an assistant.

September 4-10 Intermediate/Advanced  Workshop at IHM Conference Center  

This workshop is for artists who have a working knowledge of encaustic and at least one year of using it in the studio. Focus will be on refining and extending current technique, developing new techniques, artistic and professional development and networking. Studios are accessible 24hours.. Read More

The following is based on a 6-day workshop and seven nights accommodations (+ 7 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 1 dinner) at the IHM.

Workshop tuition: $990 (includes some misc. supplies)

Single room and meals: $680

Double room and meals: $575

Meals only (Santa Fe residents) $185

Optional Supply fee: $160 (For 8 lbs. of encaustic medium, the amount used by each at last year’s workshop or bring 8 lbs for the “pot”.)

Double rooms have twin beds. A non-participant may share your room at the double rate, meals included.

In Santa Fe, lodging at the IHM center is required (excluding Santa Fe residents who are required to purchase workshop meals but not housing)

Minimum 10, Max 14. An assistant is present. .

Private Workshops

Inquire about private and small group workshops in Paula’s Santa Fe studio.

$250 / 4 hour session with reductions for additional participants.

Trouble–Shooting Sessions for Intermediate or Advanced  Encaustic Artists:

$75/ hour Private, $50/ hour 2 or more persons. Bring your specific needs (working large, mixed media, etc.), problem pieces, wild ideas, and other particular needs and we will problem solve.

You will need Adobe Reader to download and see the form  in PDF format.

 

1. Email our registrar, Ruth Gooch, with your intention to register EncausticSantaFe@yahoo.com . She will confirm availability of workshop and room choice (if applicable). Please give Ruth your Phone # and email address for follow-up.
2. To reserve your space, a 50% deposit or the full amount (of tuition, room & board, and materials) is due along with the registration form and signed agreement.

3. Fill out and sign the registration form and the agreement to terms for refund/cancellation and liability. Send these to Ruth by email, EncausticSantaFe@yahoo.com, or fax to 949-388-6208.
If paying by Credit Card, use the secure PayPal
option. If paying by Check or Money Order, snail mail payment to:  Paula Roland, 523 Cortez Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501.

4. INTERNATIONAL? Please note that International Money Orders must be payable through a US bank or you

Mark your calendar:    BALANCE OF CHARGES ARE DUE is 30 days prior to workshop. 

WAIVER OF LIABILITY  &  REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICIES (sign and return with registration form):
Mark your calendar: YOUR BALANCE IS DUE 30 days prior to workshop.
LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW WITH REFUND (minus a $75 processing fee) is 30 days prior to workshop. After this time no refund can be given unless the workshop is completely filled. Minimum enrollment varies (see schedule above).

If minimum enrollment is not met (this rarely happens), you will be notified immediately following the 30 day mark and full refund will be made. However, no discounts or refunds can be given for your late arrival or early departure. Under no circumstances are we responsible for your non refundable hotel or airline charges, so you may want to wait until this time to make plane reservations. Applicable refunds are made within four weeks.

Liability Waiver: The below named participant, on behalf of himself or herself, and all agents, employees, assignees,  administrators, or executors, hereby releases, discharges, and waives all claims of liability against The Open Studio LLC, Paula Roland or her employees for any injuries, damages, or loss of any kind that might be sustained while participating in Paula Roland's Encaustic Workshops, or for any health condition, new or preexisting, that might develop or be affected or aggravated as a result of participation. We can not reduce or waive these terms in the event of circumstances beyond our control such as illness, flight cancellations, war, terrorist attacks, injury or death, natural disaster, or force majeure. If, for reasons beyond our control, we are forced to cancel the workshop, we will do our best to provide a suitable alternative within the year. If any sentence of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance thereof shall continue in full legal force and effect.
